The largest round chapiteau in the world
Imagine a chapiteau with a diameter of 60 meters and a height of 25 meters, covering an area of 2,827 square meters to accommodate 8,481 standing people. Exceptional measurements for a show that leaves nothing to chance, starting from its size. Everything is possible and the viewer senses it at first glance, scanning through an immense space: a dome with 12 sides and a diameter of 16 meters, the ring, the stands…
Circuses, theater, music, festivals
This is also a show: records, the ability to amaze, starting from the structure bearing our signature, that of Alberto and Paolo Anceschi. The chapiteau, in white and red colors, was commissioned by a French company that rents structures for circuses and shows. Thanks to its size, it is extremely versatile: it can host circus events, theatrical performances, concerts, festivals, etc.
A work of circus engineering
Behind a work of these dimensions, there is a lot of design, organizational, and physical work on our part. For this reason, we know how important it is to optimize phases and materials, to reduce and facilitate movements and assemblies as much as possible for the staff during tours.
2 months and 10 tons of metal worked
To build the round chapiteau with a diameter of 60 meters, we used about 2 months and 10 tons of metal, alternating between industrial and manual processing. After constructing the project, following the client’s instructions, we planned all the construction phases and started building the structure (read more).
From our construction site to Europe
Attention to detail and assembly tests already take place at our company yard in Rio Saliceto (RE), where we have constructed the entire structure, including the 23-meter antennas, 6.30-meter tour poles on a diameter of 60 meters, etc., while our partner has provided the big tops.
First assembly in Bordeaux for a traveling music festival
It was in the French capital that we carried out the first assembly of the chapiteau. We took 3 days following the staff in the most crucial phases of the operation. One day was needed for the poles, another for the 12-sided dome, and the last for the tent, the tour poles, and the finishes. After 6 days, the Festival began.
An exciting challenge
We thank our French client for their trust and professional opportunity: these projects are exciting challenges that we face with dedication and passion!
